We wouldn’t call this the most elegant app in the app
store but it does function well as a tool to teach and reinforce spelling to
students with accessibility needs. You
can create custom spelling lists, or use the ones provided. The settings give you the option to display
1-5 letters. The student selects the
first letter of the word and is then given a new set of letters to select the
second letter, and so on. Button size
can be adjusted and visual and audio prompts can be turned on or off. This app has great potential and can be
useful as is, but the sound is not great at all. Not recommended for students who need
auditory support. Let’s hope for an
update that addresses the sound.
