Kodable

App Name:  Kodable
Developer:   Surfscore
Cost:             FREE

If you think your child  is too young to learn how to code because he or she can't even read yet, think again!  Kodable is designed for programming students as young as 5 years old - even those who are still learning to read.  How do they do it?  They use a kid-friendly guided visual tutorial to teach children how to solve problems and they do it incrementally, so students build on mastered skills.  The first level is free and includes 45 activities to introduce sequential coding, conditional statements and loops.  In-app purchases are available to teach functions, debugging, and key vocabulary.  A Learning Guide will help parents and teachers get started.  Even more features to support teachers and classrooms are on the way!
